Here is a little sneak peak of my latest and greatest project:

READING COMPREHENSION CHECKS!

Since I am a new teacher, I am still trying to get the whole "guided reading" thing down. I am trying to hard to make a work for me and my little second graders. All I can say is... it is HARD! However, I can already see what a great difference the small group instruction makes to my low readers and that is motivating me to continue on and create helpful resources as I go.

This comprehension unit will supplement your small group instruction with useful worksheets and activities that can go along with any story or any reading level. I am already using some of them in my classroom and my students are learning the story elements (problem, solution, characters, plot, setting, etc) like the back of their hands! And... since this unit includes a variety of different activities, my students aren't getting sick of comprehension (btw... we work story comprehension e-v-e-r-y single day)! Story comprehension was something I struggled to teach my students during my first year of teaching; so this year I am determined to conquer it (good thing I get to try again with the same group of kiddos)! 

I will do my best to have this unit up by the end of the week... I just have so much more to add...
